Busy, Busy, Busy month!

So this last month has been super busy for me. First off Mary had a little accident at target and now has a little scar across the top of her nose=( long story short, she tripped and face planted into the bottom of a shelf the thud that accompanied it scared me half to death but i was more scared/terrified then her. the pictures are on my phone so you'll have to wait for those ones. Then in the middle of the month i threw my friend Cati a baby shower and i have to tell you i was very proud of the cake that i made=) i made homemade fondant and if i do say so myself the end product turned out good, i had to get creative when trying to make the brown polka dots and yeah, i just can't help but be very pleased. I then traveled to Utah for a baby shower in cedar city for Cati and so i could switch cars with mom and dad=) i had a good visit with Adam and Rachel and tasted some delicious apple pie that Rachel had made, yummmmm, and have been wanting more ever since.I was very pleased that Jake's babies decided to arrive while i was there=) so cute! although i didn't get a long visit with mom i really enjoyed the time we had to visit and i KNOW that Mary, Joshua and felicity didn't want it to end=) Dad was awesome and decided to drive home with me, which i have to say was such a blessing. Dad was certainly inspired to drive home with me because with felicity throwing up and Joshua doing the same i never would have made it home..not only that but, we also had a little adventure. The vans front passenger tire broke 3 lugs and lug nuts and without dad there i wouldn't have had a clue as to what was wrong or how to fix it. We made it to eagle Colorado before we realized that something was very wrong=( but in a way i have to say it was also a blessing because it was snowing really hard in Vail and summit and there was a lot of traffic and we would have run into it if we had kept going. Anyway we spent the night in a hotel there and the next morning we decided to try to make it to the Costco or auto shop about 4 miles back we drove really really slow and just before we made it to the light to turn into Costco and the auto zone we broke another lug/lug nut=( but the lord was once again watching over us because the lady that helped dad in auto zone said her husband did some mechanics and could help us. So while the kids and i walked around Costco sampling food=) dad and this ladies husband worked on the van=) he had all the right tools and knew what to do he was an angel in disguise. We then started our drive again and once again i couldn't thank dad enough for coming with me...he drove through the snow which i hate driving through=) so Thank You Dad!!!! although he wasn't here for long i really REALLY enjoyed spending time with him and was sad to see him go. Then after 2 weeks for fall break for the kids went back to school...for 2 days, before they had 3 snow days={ and just as fast as the snow came the snow melted away...just in time for Halloween=) Felicity was a bat, Joshua was a knight and Mary was a gypsy=) we had an awesome trunk or treat with the ward over here and an awesome party with the cheeks=) that's all for now!

Wow! You have been busy! I must say that you did a fabulous job on the cake! Very nice. Your kids are so cute all dressed up for Halloween.
Sounds like you had quite the month. Glad your Dad was able to help you get home alright. It's hard to drive alone with three kids, even when they're not throwing up and you don't break some lugs and lug nuts. =)

The cake looks good! Good job! Sounds like you had a very busy month. Glad that you made it home after all the problems with the van. Not fun. That's why I don't make trips without a male...too scary for me!

Yup...good think dad was with you. Glad he listened to the Spirit. Hope Mary is doing well and that you are still using the mederma on her scar. The kids looked awesome in their costumes! Great looking cake, too. Hugs and loves to the kiddies. Miss them.
